All Hail, High Falls!

Keep the Lights On!!! Because…(as you may have heard) Blue Heron Books is Going the Distance!

Please join us this Saturday, 9 AM-9PM & Sunday, 9 AM-9PM for a

Marathon READING ALOUD of Emily Wilson’s New Translation of Homer’s THE ILIAD!

Dip in, dip out, dip back in; come to listen or to read, but, if possible,

PLEASE, sign up to read for 15-minutes:

All gratitude and singing-your-praises to those who’ve already signed up, (you are the absolute best), but WE COULD USE A FEW MORE READERS! If you live locally, or are visiting for the weekend, don’t be shy, stop on by (especially during the night shift:).

We’ll be the last to-go order out of Ollie’s for pizza around 9PM, on Saturday, and there will be coffee, lots of coffee, and snacks (Greek olives, some feta, some grape leaves?) to get us through the night. Water, comfy cushions, sleeping bags, Greek costumes encouraged, but not necessary, as we’ll also have some key props (you heard right--we have a sword, a toga, and a laurel crown), so, see, we’re bringing our drip to the pitch.

Also, we’ll be open for business the entire way through, so if you feel like you need a book at 2 in the morning, for example, our lights will be on; we’ve got you covered.

Where do I go to read, to gather, to listen?
