Christina Cooke

Christina Cooke’s writing has previously appeared in The Caribbean Writer, PRISM international, Prairie Schooner, Epiphany, and elsewhere. A MacDowell Fellow and Journey Prize winner, she holds a MA from the University of New Brunswick and a MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Her debut novel Boughtupsy was published on January 23 by Catapult and has been named a "Most Anticipated" title by over 19 publications across four regions, including ELLE, Cosmopolitan UK, CBC Books, Bocas Literary Festival, Shondaland, Kobo, Electric Literature, LitHub, and others. Born in Jamaica, Christina is now a Canadian citizen who lives and writes in New York City.


Lisa Ko

Lisa Ko is the author of the novel Memory Piece, forthcoming in March 2024. Her first novel, The Leavers, was a national bestseller and a finalist for the National Book Award for Fiction and the PEN/Hemingway Award, and winner of the 2016 PEN/Bellwether Prize for Socially Engaged Fiction. Ko’s writing has appeared in Best American Short Stories and The Believer. She lives in New York City.

Melissa Mogollon

Melissa Mogollon holds an MFA in fiction from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a BA from the George Washington University. Originally from Colombia and raised in Florida, she now teaches at a boarding school in Rhode Island, where she lives with her partner and dog. Oye is her first novel.

Ayana Mathis

Ayana Mathis is the author of The Twelve Tribes of Hattie (Knopf, 2012) and most recently, The Unsettled (Knopf, 2023) which was named a New York Times and Washington Post Notable Book of 2023, a best of 2023 by The New Yorker, Publisher’s Weekly, an Oprah Daily Best Novels of 2023, and a Kirkus Reviews Best Books of 2023. The New York Times calls it, “Poignant, heartbreaking."
