Gail Straub is the author of eight books including the best-selling Empowerment translated into fourteen languages, The Rhythm of Compassion her now classic book on the intersection between the inner spiritual search and the outer life of activism, her award-winning nature writing The Ashokan Way, and most recently her critically acclaimed memoir Home Inside the Globe: Embracing the Human Family. Along with being a writer, Gail co-founded the Empowerment Institute in 1981 and is considered a visionary pioneer in the field of empowerment.
