The Great White Hope by SACKLER, Howard, published by Fireside Theatre Book Club. Includes Curtain Time insert. Condition: some wear on dust jacket; slight break in binding; otherwise, very good condition w/insert.

The play moved from regional success straight to Broadway, starring James Earl Jones and Jane Alexander, both of whom won the Tony Award for Best Actor and Best Actress in 1969, as well as the Drama Desk Award, recognizing excellence in New York Theatre. Both actors went on to portray their characters in the 1970 film version. Howard Sackler, a graduate of Brooklyn College, go CUNY! went on to win the Pulitzer Prize.
